Call for applications for the UNICEF ECW Internship Program 2026. UNICEF (United Nations Children’s Fund), through its official career portal, has announced a “Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Intern” position and is seeking applications from dynamic, highly talented students from allacross the world.
It’s a full-time, remote position for the Geneva Office hosted by UNICEF, which offers students an exceptional opportunity to gain real-world practical experience in International humanitarian development work while working on high-impact projects under the supervision of the Director of ECW (Education Cannot Wait). The internship program lasts 5-6 months, and is expected to start between February and March 2026. Successful applicants are required to work full-time (35 hours per week), in accordance with Geneva working hours.
The interns will recieve a competetive stipend of USD 1,700 for the duration of the program. The program is intended for students currenly pursuing their master’s degree or who have recently graduated in a field of Education, Humanitarian/Development aid, or social sciences from recognized higher education institutes. Eligiblity Criteria
Applicants meeting the following criteria are invitied to apply for the ECW M&E Internship:
- ECW Internship is accepting applications from all nationals
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old at the time of application
- Currenly enrolled in the Master’s degree program or have recently graduated within the last three years
- Academic background in the fields of Education, Social sciences, or Humanitarian/development
- Applicants must be pursuing or have graduated from recognized institutes
- No work experience is required; however, applicants with prior work experience in education in emergencies in low to middle-income countries would be preferred

- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and data analytical skills
- A team player who can work collaboratively in a multicultural work environment
- Excellent English communication skills
- Knowledge of other UNICEF languages, such as Spanish or French, would be an asset
