UNITAR is inviting applications from outstanding students currently enrolled in undergraduate/graduate/postgraduate degree programs or who have recently graduated in the areas related to communications, journalism, public relations, international relations, social science, human rights, or other related fields. The traineeship will be held at UNITAR HQ located in Geneva, Switzerland, where the trainees will work alongside the Predevelopment Training and Advisory team to support the communications tasks that are related to the PDTA’s project. The position is on a contractual basis, the duration of the contract is 6 months, which could be extended based on performance.
The Traineeship is exclusively designed for students and fresh graduates to provide them with hands-on experience with the United Nations, under complete guidance from the experts in a multicultural work environment. Eligiblity Criteria:
Applicants meeting the following criteria are eligible for the UNITAR Communication traineeship:
- The traineeship is accepting applications from all nationals
- Students currenttly pursuing bachelor/masters/postgraduate degree programs or have been recenly graduated in the fields of communication, media studies, journalism, public relations, marketing, international relations, social science, human rights, or a related discipline.
- Have excellent English communication both written and oral
- Knowledge of any other United Nations working language would be a plus
- Demonstrate interester in the work of UNITAR’s
