United Nations YPP Global Communication 2025 (P2) – Position

The United Nations, through its official United Nations Careers Portal, has announced the “Global Communications (for external applicants)” position and is seeking highly motivated, passionate applicants from around the world.

The position is announced in the UN Department of Operational Support, where selected candidates will be working at the P2 level on a 2-year contractual basis, which may be extended based on your performance. The United Nations is calling applications from outstanding students holding at least a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in the areas relevant to communications from a recognized, accredited institute. There is no prior work experience required to be eligible for the positions; however, relevant work experience in the relevant area will be taken into consideration.

No application fee required to apply for the position, as the UN does not charge any fee at any stage of the recruitment process. Eligiblity Criteria

Applicants meeting the following criteria are invited to submit their applications:

  • The opening is only for external applicants; candidates already working in the organization cannot apply.
  • Accepting applications from applicants from UN participating member states 
  • Applicants holding a minimum first-level university degree, e.g, bachelor’s or equivalent, in the study areas relevant to communication, such as political science, digital media, marketing, international relations, journalism, public information, or other related fields
  • Age requirement: 32 years or younger
  • Fluency in one of the United Nations working languages (French or English)
  • No prior work experience required
  • Applicants must be willing to work at the duty station if selected
