We are here with an exciting opportunity: Applications are now being accepted for one of the renowned short-term exchange programs exclusively designed for the nationals of Pakistan in the United States for Fall 2026. You heard it right! The applications are open for the USEFP Fulbright FLTA Program 2026.
A fully funded non-degree program in the United States sponsored by the US Government and administered by the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) inviting applications from Nationals of Pakistan who are currently teaching English at the college or university level to apply and have an opportunity to refine their English teaching skills while experiencing the vibrant and rich culture of the United State. The duration of the program is 9-10 months, during which selected FLTA’s will be teaching their native language to the US students in the designated colleges and universities; moreover, participants will also work with host communities, extracurricular activities, and community projects.
The US Government provides comprehensive financial support for the program, covering all the related costs that including a monthly stipend, insurance, travel support, with other perks and benefits. FLTA Program Coverage
The Government of the United States covers all the costs related to the program, which include:
- A competitive monthly stipend to cover living allowance
- Health coverage
- Travel Support
- Tuirion awards for coursework
- Accommodation in campus dormitories
FLTA’s Role
- Assist in 20 hours of language classes a week
- Enroll in at least two courses per semester
- Facilitate language costs, language tables, and cultural events
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants are being accepted from the applicants, meeting the following criteria:
- Accepting applications from the nationals of Pakistan
- Teaching English language at the College or University level in Pakistan
- Preference is given to the young teachers just started their careers.
- Have completed at least 16 years of education from a recognized institute
Ineligibility:
- Applicants holding dual US/Pakistan nationality
- Employees and contractors of Fulbright, USAID, or USEFP can not apply
