The USEFP has announced the Global Ugrad Semester Exchange program for 2025. Academics worldwide widely recognize the Global UGRAD program as one of the most intellectually engaging fully funded exchange programs in the United States.
The program’s goal is to encourage Pakistani nationals pursuing Associate or Bachelor’s degree programs from both public and private institutions to participate in a semester-long exchange program at a top US university, enriching their academic and cultural experiences. USEFP has designed this exchange program in close coordination with the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) to foster mutual understanding, academic excellence, and professional growth.
The Global UGRAD grant covers tuition and fees, round-trip airfare, housing and meals, a book allowance, a monthly maintenance allowance, and accident and sickness coverage. With a history of promoting mutual understanding between the people of the USA and Pakistan, the program allows Pakistani students to experience a semester of full-time, non-degree academic study in the States, exposing them to social responsibilities by involving them in community service efforts and plans.
Eligible candidates will demonstrate exceptional academic achievements, leadership skills, a keen interest in studying in the USA, and a well-written statement of purpose aligning with the USEFP program priorities. The program is highly competitive, with a strict evaluation based on overall applications and applicants’ potential. USEFP strongly encourages applicants from underserved communities with diverse backgrounds, such as Baluchistan and rural Sindh, to apply.
Cultural exchange programs like these are important because they acknowledge that each nation has the opportunity to prove something and offer something to the world. They foster mutual understanding among people, contributing to the creation of a world full of opportunities for youth, and empowering them to actively contribute to the betterment of their home communities and the pursuit of global peace.
