Applications are now open to apply for the USTC Research Internship Program for the spring 2026 intake. A funded internship hosted by The University of Science & Technology of China (USTC) offers an incredible opportunity to international students currently pursuing their graduate degree program or in the 3rd/4th year of the undergraudate degree program to have an immersive research experience while participating in a variety of cutting-edge research under the supervision of USTC faculty.
The institute is seeking applications from hardworking and talented students from all around the world, passionate about research in the areas of Chemistry, Computer Science, Engineering Science, Information Science, Management, Physical Science, or related fields to apply. The duration of the USTC internship program is 3-11 months, depending on the research project that is scheduled to take place at Hefei, Anhui, China. The institute offers 3 types of scholarships to participate in this internship program. There is no Application fee required at any stage of the internship application; interested applicants need to submit their applications before September 30th, 2025. Eligibility Criteria
Applicants meeting the following criteria are invited to submit their applications for the USTC internship program:
- USTC internship is accepting applications from all nationals
- Chinese nationals are not eligible to apply
- Applicants aged between 18-40 Years old are eligible to apply
- Applicants must be in good health to attend the program
- Students have to provide a clean criminal record
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD degree program
- Excellent English communication skills
