UTokyo ADB Japan Scholarship 2025 – Deadline Extended

Opportunities Radar has news for you application deadline for the UTokyo ADB Japan Scholarship 2025 has been extended! Students who have missed the opportunity should start with the application process and apply before the deadline which is now July 15th, 2024. 

The scholarships are offered to international applicants from ADB member countries to pursue their master’s degree from the School of International Health, University of Tokyo. The scholarship is fully funded by the Asian Development Bank each year five applicants from ADB member countries are granted this scholarship. The scholarship covers Round travel Air Travel tickets, Tuition, and entrance fees, A monthly allowance of 147,000 Yen per month, etc.

Who can Apply?

• Applicants who hold a bachelor’s or equivalent degree with an excellent academic record
• In Japan, 16 years of education is considered a bachelors
• Applicants who have completed a master’s degree in 16 years from their home country in Japan would be considered as bachelors. However, your equivalency will be judged by the School of International Health during your admission process.
• Have at least 2 years of work experience (Experience of Internship is not counted) in Health and medical science sector
• Max age limit is 35 years
• Able to attend a full-time degree program that starts on 1st April 2025
• Agree to return to home country after completing the program
• Be in good physical or mental health
• Proficiency in the English language to pursue studies
• ABD-JSP 2025 is open for applicants from ADB Member Countries that are:
  • Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Federated States of Micronesia, Georgia, India  Indonesia Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mongolia Myanmar, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Viet Nam, Nauru, Nepal, Niue, Bhutan, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Fiji.

Who can Not Apply?

• Applicants not belonging to ADB member countries
• Do not possess 2 years of work experience in a relevant field
• Applicants who have previously studied abroad
• Students pursuing a second master’s degree
• Staff, Management, and directors of ADB

Financial Coverage

• The scholarship provides the following financial coverage to the selected scholars:
• Full admission and tuition fees
• A monthly allowance of 147,000 yen
• Economy Class airfare ticket
• Medical & Accident insurance and much more.
