The ADB-JSP scholarships are offered to talented and deserving applicants from ADB member states to pursue their graduate studies in the areas of management, science, economics, technology, and other related fields at the participating academic institutes in Asia & Pacific regions. All Male/Female applicants who are looking for postgraduate studies in Japan are highly encouraged to apply for the scholarship. Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants meeting the following criteria set by ADB-JSP can apply:
- Open for applicants from ADB Member Countries that are:
- Pakistan, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Tajikistan, Thailand, Timor-Leste, Tonga, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Armenia, Federated States of Micronesia, Georgia, India Indonesia Kazakhstan, Kiribati, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Maldives, Marshall Islands, Mongolia Myanmar, Philippines, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, Tuvalu, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Viet Nam, Nauru, Nepal, Niue, Bhutan, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Fiji.
- Does not possess dual citizenship of a developed country
- Have secured admission to an approved master’s course
- Possess a bachelor’s degree with an excellent academic record
- Have 2 years of professional work experience.
- Have proficiency in the English language to be able to pursue studies
- Must not be more than 35 Years of age at the time of application
- Physically and mentally in good health
- Must agree to return to home country after completion of degree
Ineligibility:
- Applicants not belonging to ADB member countries
- Do not possess 2 years of work experience in a relevant field
- Applicants who have previously studied abroad
- Students pursuing a second master’s degree
- Staff, Management, and directors of ADB
Scholarship Coverage & Duration
The scholarship is granted for 1 year with an extension to the second year on the basis of the applicant maintaining satisfactory performance.
The scholarship provides the following financial coverage to the selected scholars:
- Full Tuition Fees
- Monthly allowance
- Housing Allowance
- Allowance for instructional materials and Books
- Medical & Accident insurance
- Travel expenses
