The applications are finally open for the WIPO Young Experts Program for the 2026-27 Cohort. A fully funded program in Switzerland, hosted by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), offers an incredible opportunity to young intellectuals from all across the world to gain skills and knowledge that contribute to the economic growth of their home communities.
The “Young Expert Program” is exclusively designed for the outstanding early career professionals (Aged below 35) from diverse backgrounds, passionate about Intellectual Property and its contribution to fostering innovation and sustainable development worldwide. The duration of the program is 2 years (24 months), which is schedule to take place in Geneva, Switzerland, from February 2026.
The selected participants will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience on various WIPO initiatives. The young expert program offers a wide range of benefits, which include a competitive stipend, Medical insurance, accident insurance, and much more. No Application Fee is required to apply for the program – applicants fulfilling the program criteria need to apply online by August 14th, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
- The Wipo young Expert Program is open to all nationals
- Available to attend the program for the entire duration (e.g, 24 months)
- Holding a minimum undergraduate degree
- Max 35 years of age or younger at time of application
- Possesses at least 2 years of relevant experience in the desired area
- Have experience in IP, creativity, or innovation
