World Bank Group has recently announced its “World Bank Legal Vice Presidency’s (LEG VPU) Internship” for international and US-based students currently pursuing LLB, LLM, SJD, JD, PhD, or any equivalent Legal degree from recognized institutes.
World Bank is inviting applications from talented and highly motivated law students holding citizenship of IBRD member states to bring new perspectives and innovative ideas into the World Bank’s daily operation while closely collaborating with the senior staff and professionals The Legal internship program is offered thrice a year currently the applications are open for the Fall cycle that typically starts between September and November, the duration of the internship is 10-12 weeks and will take place in Washington DC, USA, or selected country offices.
During the internship, participants will gain valuable insights into World Bank operations and have a chance to participate in high-profile events and conferences. The application window for the 2025 Fall Cycle is open, and the last date for the submission application is 30th April 2025. World Bank does not charge any application fee while applying for the program moreover there is no IELTS requirement to be eligible for the program. Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for the WB Legal internship:
- Applicants holding citizenship of IBRD Member States can apply
- Students enrolled in LLB, JD, LLM, SJD, PhD, or equivalent legal academic degree
- Proficiency in English language
- Students with a good command of a second language (Spanish, Russian, Chinese, Arabic, or French) will be preferred.
- US-based students are also invited to submit applications
