The World Bank Group International Center for Settlement Investment Disputes (ICSID) has recently announced its flagship internship, specifically designed for highly motivated graduate students from across the world to gain hands-on experience while working on real-time assignments under the supervision of experienced ICSID counsel.
The duration of the ICSID internship is 12 weeks, running from May to August 2026 at ICSID HQ, Washington, DC, USA. Interns will be assigned to the institutional or case management team, where they will assist in the administrative tasks. The institute is inviting applications from high-achieving students currently pursuing their graduate programmes (LLM, PhD, Rising 3L) with an interest in international investment law. Eligibility Criteria
- ICSID internship is open to all nationals
- Students currently enrolled in graduate-level programmes (LLM, PhD, or Rising 3rd Year law students)
- Provide a written confirmation from your home institute that your internship will be used for academic credit or supported by institute sponsored stipend.
- Demonstrate interest in International investment law and State dispute settlement
- Interested in conducting high-level research
- Fluency in the English language, both spoken and written
