A fully funded program in China, by Yenching Academy, offers an incredible opportunity to outstanding students from both the Chinese Mainland and abroad to study, learn, and live together at Peking University, Beijing, China.
The fellowship is inviting applications from high-achieving students holding a minimum bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized institute, with a strong interest in interdisciplinary studies, to study a full-time master’s degree program at Peking University, China. The Yenching Academy offers a generous fellowship support to scholars, such as full tuition fees, Accommodation, a monthly stipend, round-trip travel support, and more. Degree Duration & Structure
The duration of the Master’s degree program is 2 years, which is structured as:
- Year 1: Scholars will complete their coursework at the institute
- Year 2: Scholars will work on their thesis work
Eligiblity Criteria
Applicants meeting the following criteria are invited to submit their applications for the Yenching Academy fellowship:
- Accepting applications from both Chinese and international students.
- Applicants holding a minimum bachelor’s degree in any field from a recognized institute.
- Students currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree program and are expected to graduate no later than August 31st, 2026, can also apply
- Applicants must hold an excellent academic record
- Have a strong interest in the interdisciplinary study of China
- English profiecny
- Students with a record of extracurricular achievement, such as social responsibility, leadership participation, and community engagement.

Application Materials

- English proficiency test score requirement IELTS 7.0 | TOEFL iBT 100 | Cambridge English Test Advanced 185 | CET 600 | TEM 4 “良好” or above
English Proficiency Exemption
The English Proficiency requirement is exempted for those whose native language is English or who have previously graduated from an English-taught degree program. However, applicants from Taiwan, Macao, and the Chinese Region of Hong Kong are required to submit the English proficiency test report to be considered for the program.

The program is currently accepting applications for Cohort 2026. International students of Partner Universities must apply through their home university’s internal selection process before applying to the Yenching Academy

Applicants from the Chinese region of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao need to apply via the Yenching Academy application portal, as well as a supplementary application through the Peking University Graduate Admissions website.
