Degree Duration & Structure

English Proficiency Exemption
The English proficiency requirement is waived for those whose native language is English or who have previously graduated from an English-taught degree program. However, applicants from Taiwan, Macao, and the Chinese Region of Hong Kong are required to submit an English proficiency test report to be considered for the program.

The program is currently accepting applications for Cohort 2026. International students of Partner Universities must apply through their home university’s internal selection process before applying to the Yenching Academy

Applicants from the Chinese regions of Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao need to apply via the Yenching Academy application portal and submit a supplementary application through the Peking University Graduate Admissions website.
