The program aims to engage young leaders in environmental protection and climate action. The program seeks 13 talented individuals from diverse regions, including Latin America, Eastern Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa, to work in areas related to UNEP’s mandate.

The UN volunteers will begin their assignments at the UN Environment Program’s headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. It is a 12-month program that begins on November 2, 2024. Program Duration & Location

  • Selected candidates will be based in Nairobi, Kenya, for 12 months, with a possibility of extension.

Precommencement:

  • Academic degrees (bachelor’s, master’s, diplomas) in relevant areas along with three years of relevant professional experience.
