Application call for the United Nations Young Professionals Program. The application for the YPP program opens in June of each year for talented highly qualified applicants from participating countries.
For those who are not aware of this program, the Young Professional Program is actually a recruitment drive for talented applicants to start their careers in the United Nations as International Civil Servants. The program consists of entrance examinations and professional development successful applicants start their career with the United Nations.
To be eligible for the YPP program you must possess at least a first-level university degree in the field that is relevant to the exam. The program is specially designed for applicants belonging to countries that are un or underrepresented in the UN.
Successful candidates will be offered a 2-year contract that can be extended subject to satisfactory performance. The placement is made in P-1 & P-2 levels which we will discuss later in this post. To know more details regarding the YPP program check the information given below and apply.

Positions:
- P-1 Level: The position is for those applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree with no work experience
- P-2 Level: The position is for those applicants who hold a bachelor’s degree with 2 years of work experience
Eligiblity Criteria:
- Nationality: Open for the nationals of participating countries
- Education: Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply
- Age: Applicants must not exceed 32 years of age
- Language: Fluent in any of the official languages of the UN (e.g English, French)
