To all the international students who have been dreaming of pursuing higher education in Europe, Lithuania has just opened the doors for international students through the Lithuania State Master Degree Scholarship 2025.
The Education Exchanges Support Foundation has recently made the scholarship announcement for international students to pursue full-time master’s degrees or integrated courses at participating Lithuanian Higher education institutes. A total of 70 grants will be awarded for the session 2025, out of which 20 grants are reserved for Ukrainian citizens and 5 grants are reserved for Foreign citizens of Lithuanian Citizens of non-EU and non-EFTA countries.
The Lithuanian State Scholarship covers tuition fee grants and a monthly stipend to cover their living cost during their degree program. Candidates interested in the Lithunaia State Full Time Masters scholarship need to apply online via the official portal – The last date for the application submission is 13 May 2025, 4:00 PM Vilnius time. Eligible Countries
The Lithuania state is inviting applications from the citizens of the following countries:
- Australia, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Armenia, South Korea, Moldova, United States, Belarus, Uzbekistan, Israel, Georgia, New Zealand, Kazakhstan, Japan, China (People’s Republic of China and Taiwan), & foreign citizens of Lithuanian origin from non-EU and non-EFTA countries.
Who can Apply?
- Citizens of the above-mentioned countries are invited to submit the applications
- Citizens of Belarus must hold a residence permit
- Students who have completed their Bachelor’s degree or are in the final year of their degree programs
- Good knowledge of Lithuanian, English, or other language
- Applicants must receive an offer letter of acceptance or pre-acceptance for the master’s degree from Lithuanian state higher education institute
Who can not Apply?
- Applicants not belonging to the eligible countries
- Has not received an official letter of acceptance
- Applicants who have already secured a master’s degree
- Already received a state scholarship
Priority is given to:
- Students who are willing to or have already started a master’s degree in the Lithuanian language
- Completed their bachelor’s degree program from a Lithuanian state institute
- Currently pursuing integrated degree course from Lithuanian state institute
- Willing to pursue their full-time degree program in Life Sciences, Engineering, and Informatics.
Scholarship Coverage
The Lithuanian state scholarship covers:
- A monthly stipend of 560 EUR
- Grants for covering the national standard study cost

How to Apply for the Lithuania State Scholarship?
The application process is online through the online application system, interested applicants need to attach the list of required scanned documents in the (Lithuanian or English) language.
- Step 1: Visit the official portal and register yourself to start with the online application
- Step 2: Once you are logged in select -> Create Application -> Scope “Scholarships for Full-Time Master’s Degree Studies” -> Call “Scholarships for Full-Time Master’s Degree Studies 2025”.
- Step 3: Complete the application and submit

- The scholarship application is separate once you receive admission to a full-time master’s degree program at the Lithuanian state institute then you have to separately apply for the scholarship.
