Eligibility Criteria

How to Apply for the APU MEXT (UR) Scholarship?
Applicants who are interested in the scholarship need to follow the following steps”
- Step 1:Â Interested applicants need to apply for a graduate degree program via APU’s official portal for the September 2026 enrollment. The last date for the submission of the application is November 12, 2025.
- Step 2: Once you apply for the graduate degree, the APU will review all the applications and will recommend the outstanding students for the MEXT UR Scholarship
- Step 3: The recommended students will be notified of the APU Admission results
- Step 4: Recommended students will now have to submit the additional documents required by MEXT, such as the APU Application form, Research proposal, Letters of recommendation, passport copy, CV, motivation letter, etc
