An immersive 2-week summer program hosted by the PolyU Graduate School at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University will run from June 29 to July 9, 2026. The summer school offers an incredible opportunity to motivated and dynamic (Bachelors & Masters) students from around the world to experience cutting-edge research, engage with the institute’s students and faculty, and experience the institute’s advanced research facilities.
It’s an ideal program for those who wish to pursue their graduate degree program at Polytechnic University. The objective of the summer school is to promote the institute’s graduate school and to allow students to experience the institute’s advanced research facilities and PhD pathways while immersing themselves in Asia’s vibrant cities. Eligiblity Criteria
Applicants meeting the following criteria are invited to apply for the Hong Kong University IRSS 2026:
- Accepting applications from all nationals
- Students currently in the Penultimate or final year of an undergraduate degree
- Students currently in the master’s degree program
- Commit to full-time participation in person on campus during program dates
- Profiency in English
- Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a PhD degree at PolyU.
Selection Criteria
The selection criteria are based on students:
- Academic Excellence
- Research interest, experience
- Strong communication skills
- Leadership skills and other qualities
Coverage
- The participants will recieve following coverage
- Accommodation for the entire summer school
- Visa and Entry permit fee subsidy
- Cash allowance of up to HK$10,000 for selected applicants to cover travel costs
