For young graduates interested in International Relations, we are here with an exciting traineeship program meant for you! Applications are invited for the EU Traineeship Programme in Cambodia 2026. The European Union (EU), through its official website, has recently announced funded traineeships for young graduates to work at the EU Delegation to Cambodia. Currently, two traineeships are available within the Press, Political and Information section of the EU Delegation to Cambodia. The duration of the traineeship is 6 months, during which selected trainees will work on political and human rights issues and public and press diplomacy.
The traineeship is open to applicants who have completed a first-level university degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in International Relations, Political Science, Communication, Law, and related fields. The traineeship is for recent graduates; therefore, the program requires less than one year of professional experience after graduation. It’s a paid traineeship; trainees will receive a competitive monthly allowance to cover basic living expenses. No application fee is charged when applying to the program. Traineeships Offered
Currently, two traineeships are offered within the press, political, and information section of the EU delegation to Cambodia.
Dates:
- Traineeship 1: June – November 2026
- Traineeship 2: November – April 2027
Eligiblity Criteria
Accepting applications from nationals of EU Member states & Cambodia
- Have completed a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in the fields of communication, law, journalism, public affairs, European affairs, international relations, or related fields
- Completed a degree from a recognized institute
- Have not more than one year of professional work experience after graduation
- Demonstrate interest in the EU Institutional framework and policies
- Knowledge of the EU institution framework and policies
- Able to work independently in a dynamic work environment
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication skills

Trainees Role
Selected trainees will be assisting with the following tasks:
- Prepare daily press review
- Gather & monitor daily information
- Manage the Khmer social media platforms
- Monitor the human rights and political developments
- Prepare reports
- Participants in conference and meetings
- Assist with other administrative tasks
