Today, we are here with an exciting international writers’ workshop offered by one of Hong Kong’s leading institutes that you should not miss. Applications are invited for the International Writers Workshop 2027. A fully funded workshop organized by the International Writers Workshop (IWW) and hosted at Hong Kong Baptist University allows interested writers to join the immersive Writers in Residence in Hong Kong from February 27 to March 25, 2027. The best part of the workshop is that there are no country restrictions; ambitious writers from all parts of the world are invited to submit an application.
This year, the workshop focuses on the theme of “Inheritance.” Applicants are encouraged, but not required, to address how their work aligns with the theme. The 4-week Writers in Residence Program will conclude with the IWW Literary Festival. No application fee is required. You must submit the application online by August 14th, 2026. No late or incomplete applications will be considered. It’s one of the anticipated fully funded residency programmes in Hong Kong, founded in 2004.
