The United Nations Development Programme has announced a global call for the “UNDP Digital AI Innovation Internship 2026” and is seeking applications from outstanding students worldwide. It’s a 3-month remote internship program designed for students currently enrolled in a university-level degree program or those who have completed their degrees in computer science, data science, AI, public policy, internationalization, business administration, journalism, communication, development, economics, or related fields. The internship allows students and recent graduates to gain hands-on work experience while working on integrating AI, Digital Transformation, and Data policy. It’s a paid internship program, and interns will receive a competitive stipend ranging from $200 to $500. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis; early applications are reviewed first. Who can Apply?

- Open for all nationalities
- Students enrolled in the final year of the Undergraduate program
- Students enrolled in a master’s or PhD degree program
- Completed the above degrees within the last 12 months
- Academic background in Technical, Policy, and business-related fields
- Fluency in the English Language
- Knowledge of any other UN offical language would be an asset
- Demonstrate strong interest in Digital Governance, Data Analytics & AI
- An immediate family member must not be working with the UNDP
- It’s a home-based internship; applicants must have a reliable internet connection and a device to attend the program
