About MTCP
The Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme is a flagship initiative of the Government of Malaysia that supports students from developing countries in pursuing postgraduate degree programs at leading institutions in Malaysia. The scholarship was established in 1980.
Since its inception, it has awarded thousands of scholarships to students from developing countries to study in Malaysia, with all their expenses covered. The program aims to empower ambitious students from developing countries with the skills and knowledge to contribute to the development of their home countries.
MTCP Scholarship Coverage

Eligiblity Criteria:
To be eligible for the MTCP Malaysian scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Citizens of an eligible developing nation can apply
- Citizens of Malaysia are not eligible to apply
- Applicants’ age must not be more than 45 years at the time of application
- Holding a minimum bachelor’s degree programme to undertake a master’s degree
- Excellent academic achievements secured at least 3.0 out of 4.0 in a bachelor’s degree
- English language proof through IELTS or TOEFL
- Language requirement is exempted for those who have completed their undergraduate degree in English
- Secure an admission letter from participating Malaysian public institutions
- Must be in good health to attend the degree program

How to Apply?
