The European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) has announced its flagship student programme and is inviting applications from outstanding and talented students from CERN Member States and Associate Member States. Students who are currently pursuing studies in administrative fields, including administration, communications, human resources, law, logistics, procurement, and related disciplines at recognized institutions, are encouraged to apply.
The programme offers participants an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience while contributing to real projects at CERN. Students will develop valuable insights into how administrative functions support one of the world’s leading scientific organizations and will work in a dynamic international environment alongside experienced professionals.
The CERN Administrative Student Programme contract duration is 2 to 12 months and is a full-time, on-site programme that will take place in Meyrin, Switzerland. During the programme, participants will work on real CERN projects under the supervision of experienced professionals in their respective fields, gaining valuable professional and international exposure.
Selected participants will receive comprehensive support, including a monthly stipend, paid leave, health insurance coverage, travel support, and several other benefits and perks. The tentative start date for the programme is January 1, 2027.

Who can Apply?
To be eligible for the CERN Administrative Student Programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Citizens of CERN Member or Associate member states are invited to apply
- Currently enrolled in a master’s or bachelor’s degree program in relevant fields
- Students must be pursuing their degrees from accredited institutes
- Students enrolled in PhD degree programs are not eligible to apply
- Bachelor’s students must have completed at least 3 semesters
- Students must remain registered as full-time students for the entire duration
- Academic background must be in the fields of Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Communication Media, Logistics, Translation, Library, and information science, or related fields
- Profiency in the English or French language
- No IELTS/TOEFL or any other language testing certificates required
