What could be better than gaining real-world experience as an intern in one of the specialized agencies of the United Nations? Applications are invited for the UNICEF Communication & Public Engagement Internship 2026. The United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has announced a “Communication & Public Engagement” position at its Headquarters in Paris, France, and seeks talented students from across the world to apply. The internship lasts 1-6 months, during which selected interns will work in the Division for Communication and Public Engagement and report directly to the Director General’s office.
The internship is intended for applicants at least 20 years old, currently enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree program, or recently graduated in communication, journalism, digital media, intellectual property law, the environment, or relevant areas. Who can Apply?
Applicants meeting the following criteria are invited to submit their applications for the UNESCO Communication internship:
- Welcome’s applications from all nationalities
- Applicants must be at least 20 years old at the time of application
- Students enrolled in bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD degree programs
- Applicants who have completed their degree within the last 12 months
- Pursuing or have completed their degrees in the fields of communication, journalism, intellectual property law, environment, translation, or related areas
- Excellent command of the English or French language
- Working knowledge of any other official UN language would be an assett
