CERN invites applications from outstanding PhD students pursuing studies in fields related to CERN’s research areas, such as engineering, physics, computing, and applied science.
The duration of the Studentship is 12-36 months, during which selected participants will work on their PhD thesis in a truly immersive environment. CERN offers generous support to selected participants. The coverage includes a monthly stipend, health coverage, daily supplement allowance, travel coverage, and more. Eligiblity Criteria
To be eligible for the CERN Doctoral Studentship programme, you must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a national of a CERN member or an Associate member state
- students enrolled in a PhD degree program or are about to start their degree
- Field of study must align with CERN research areas such as Physics, Engineering, applied sciences & computing
- The applicant’s host institute must support the participation in the programme
- Excellent command of the English or French language
