Well then, here is some exciting news: Application for one of the most anticipated “EU Blue Book Traineeship Programme 2026” in Europe is now open. The commission invites applications from talented, motivated graduates from around the world to have an opportunity to gain real-world work experience in a multicultural work environment. For those who are not aware of the programme, let us give you a brief intro: it’s a highly paid 5-month traineeship program offered twice a year. Currently, the applications are open for the October 2026 intake.

The traineeship offers graduates an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in policy making and administration while enhancing their professional skills for a global career.  The Commission offers approximately 1000 positions per session. This is a very big number; applicants selected for the traineeship are placed in the commission departments or their executive bodies located in Brussels and Luxembourg, where they will gain practical work experience while working on real-time projects alongside the EU experts. Applicants who have completed their bachelor’s degree or higher from recognized institutes are invited to submit their applications.

Available Traineeship:

The European Commission offers two types of traineeships, which are:

  1. Administrative Traineeship: Offers hands-on experience in administrative tasks
  2. Translation Traineeship: Offers hands-on experience in translating documents

  • A monthly allowance of €1,538.16 per month
  • An extra 50% support for the trainees with disabilities

Eligibility Criteria

Individuals meeting the following criteria are eligible to apply for the internship:

  • The internship is intended for applicants from EU countries; however, a limited number of positions are available for non-EU citizens.
  • Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree or higher
  • No previous work experience in any European Union agency
  • There is no IELTS or TOEFL requirement
  • No Age restrictions
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language
