FAO Young Professionals Programme 2026 (YPP) – Worldwide Openings

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), a specialized agency of the United Nations working to achieve food security, is accepting applications for the FAO Young Professionals Programme 2026. FAO is currently accepting applications for several positions based at FAO headquarters, regional offices, and other offices worldwide. The program is designed for talented professionals with a master’s degree, PhD, or equivalent degree relevant to FAO’s work and at least 1 year of relevant professional experience. Preference is given to applicants from developing or underrepresented countries.

Selected candidates will be appointed as young professional officers with a 2-year fixed-term appointment at the P-1 level. About FAO YPP 2027

It’s a flagship recruitment initiative designed for young professionals who want to build their careers in international development and contribute to FAO’s work. The Young Professional Programme is intended for talented professionals, with preference given to candidates from non- and underrepresented countries, as well as candidates from developing and small island developing states.
