Applications are open for the KAUST MEWC Internship 2027, a fully funded research internship program in Saudi Arabia, to be held at the KAUST Campus from January 4 to February 11, 2027. Hosted by the Computer, Electrical and Mathematical Sciences and Engineering division at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), the KAUST MEWC Internship offers students an excellent opportunity to experience cutting-edge microelectronics research under the supervision of leading faculty and experts.
It is a 6-week immersive internship program designed for senior undergraduates, current master’s students, or recent graduates in computer or electrical engineering-related fields. Who can Apply?
MEWC invities applications from applicants meeting the following criteria:
- Open to all nationalities.
- Students in the final year of undergraduate studies, current master’s students, or recent graduates can apply.
- Academic background in electrical or computer engineering or related fields.
- Have a CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.00.
- Proficiency in the English language.
- Demonstrate a strong interest in working on research projects.
Program Activities
It’s an immersive 6-week research internship program designed to help students enhance their technical and innovative skills. During the program, interns will participate in a variety of activities, including:
- Work on research projects in various modern electronic areas.
- Participate in technical traning and workshops.
- Engage in social events.
- Compete in an e-poster competition at the end of the program.
- Attend side workshops on e-poster training and research skills.
