KAUST (King Abdullah University of Science & Technology) has recently announced the applications for one of its anticipated “KAUST MEWC Winter Camp 2026,” scheduled to take place from January 12-February 19, 2026, at the KAUST campus, Saudi Arabia.
A fully funded research internship hosted by the KAUST university offers an incredible opportunity to students and recent graduates from all around the world to gain hands-on, cutting-edge research experience while engaging in research projects focused on various modern electronic areas under the supervision of KAUST’s renowned faculty. The duration of the internship is six weeks, during which the interns will engage in various activities such as research, workshops, technical training, side workshops, e-poster competitions, and social events. KAUST is seeking applications from outstanding students currently pursuing their Undergraudate or master’s program or recent graduates in computer engineering, electrical, or related disciplines, to apply and experience cutting-edge research at KAUST.
The objective of the MEWC (Microelectronics Winter Camp) is to enhance the technical and innovative skills of the students and research graduates. KAUST offers a generous support for the program, which includes a stipend, visa support, accommodation, and more. No application fee will be charged to any candidate while applying for the internship. Eligiblity Criteria:
MEWC is inviting applications from applicants who meet the following criteria:
- MEWC research internship is open to all nationals
- KAUST is inviting applications from senior undergraduate, current master’s, and recent graduates in computer engineering, electrical, or related disciplines.
- Possess an excellent academic record
- GPA requirement: a minimum of 3.5 out of 4.00
- Excellent English language proficiency
- Demonstrate strong motivation to participate in the research project
