Today the application window for the Malaysia Government MTCP Scholarship for session 2024 is open. The MTCP Scholarship program is funded by the Government of Malaysia to support students from developing countries to pursue their Postgraduate degree programs in public and private institutes in Malaysia.

The scholarships are available in a wide range of academic fields, including engineering, technology, science, medicine, environment, education, finance, agriculture, and much more, which we will discuss later in this post. Eligiblity Criteria

To be eligible for the MTCP scholarship you must fulfill the following criteria:

• Applicants holding a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 3.50 GPA.
• Open for the citizens belonging to MTCP Recipient Countries.
• Applicant’s age must not exceed 45 years at the time of application.
• Applicant must be in excellent health and certified by a physician or doctor.

English Language Requirement

• IELTS score: 6.0 or above
• TOEFL Ibt score: 60 or above

English Test Exemption

Applicants who have secured their previous degree taught in the English language are not required to submit a Language test they need to provide an English proficiency proof.

Areas of Study

The postgraduate programs are available in the following areas:

• Priority is given to Engineering, Technology, Science & Mathematics (Does not include nursing, clinical pharmacy and medicine)
• Other areas to choose from are agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Education, Environment, International relations, Political Sciences, Social Sciences, Economics, finance, and Humanities.

Scholarship Coverage & Benefits

• The program covers full tuition fees for the whole program period
• A monthly allowance of RM 3,500 per month to bear living costs
• Economy class air travel ticket to attend the program.

The following documents are required in the online application form:

• Copy of Passport (with minimum 12 months validity)
• Copy of Academic Transcript (Certified)
• Copy of English proficiency test or an official letter from the institute that declares your previous degree was taught in English Language
• An updated CV
• Letter of Recommendation from at least 2 Referees
• Admission offer from the Malaysian Institute for session 2024 (If applicable)
• Copy of Medical report
