NIG also known as the National Institute of Genetics in collaboration with Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI) is offering NIG Intern Program to Undergraduate and Postgraduate students to gain practical research experience in genetics and life sciences-related fields. International students from all around the world are invited to apply for the Fully Funded internship in Japan. The internship announcement is made through the National Institute of Genetics official portal.
The duration of the internship is 1.5 months approx (41 Days) during which you will experience training on scientific research, scientific communication, and lab visits moreover you can also participate in multiple other activities that include a graduate lecture program, journal clubs, seminars, and much more. After the successful completion of the program, all the interns will be awarded the certificates. NIG Research Internship Program Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NIG intern program you must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: The internship is inviting applications from all nationals
- Area of Study: Have a strong interest in life sciences or related fields
- PhD Students: Applicants currently pursuing their PhD degree program are not eligible to apply.
- Academic Status: Applicants must be in the pre-final year of the degree program (e.g)
- In 1st year of 2 years Masters degree program
- In 2nd year of 3 years Undergraduate degree program
- In 3rd year of 4 years Undergraduate degree program
- In 4th year of 4 years degree program
- In 5th year of 6 yards degree program
Financial Coverage
NIG will provide the following financial support to the selected participants:
- Round Trip Airfare
- Transport for airport transfers
- Accommodation at the institute guest house
- Travel Insurance
