The Internship and Research Immersion Program (IRIS) is a fully funded 2-3-month program organized by the NUS Graduate School. The internship is intended for exceptional undergraudate and graduate students from any academic background to experience cutting-edge research and gain insight into one of the top university graduate studies programs. During the program, the interns will gain hands-on experience while contributing to real-time projects in state-of-the art research facilities under the mentorship of dedicated NUS faculty. The IRIS program is highly competetive, the selection criteria are based on applicants’ academic excellence and passion for academic research. 

NUS offers generous support to the IRIS interns, the coverage includes a competitive monthly allowance, travel coverage, and on-campus accommodation. The IRIS programme runs in two cycles, May to July 2026 or August to October 2026. You can specify your preferred dates in the application. Eligibility Criteria

NUS IRIS is accepting applications from individuals meeting the following criteria:

• NUS is calling applications from all nationals
• Students currenlty enrolled in undergraudate or master’s degree programs
• Undergraduate students must have completed two years of the degree
• Master’s students can be either in their first or second year of the degree
• Possess excellent academic achievements
• Demonstrate interest in academic research
• Must hold a student status throughout the internship at NUS

• Interns will recieve an allowance of SGD 1,200/month
• A travel allowance of SGD 600
