Applications are now open for the Salzburg Global Internship Program 2026. One of the prestigious internship programs in Austria, hosted by Salzburg Global, offers an incredible opportunity for open-minded leaders from around the world to gather, share innovative ideas, and engage in breakthrough conversations on the pressing global challenges.

The internship program invites applications from undergraduate students who are currently completing their degree program or have recently graduated with an interest in one of the Salzburg Global Program’s focus areas. The duration of the internship program is 3 months, and each year it runs in 3 cycles (Mid March, Early April, and Early September). The internships are onsite full-time and require your presence; there is no option to attend the internship remotely. There are no country restrictions; the internships highly encourage students and graduates from all backgrounds to apply.

The internship provides interns a unique opportunity to broaden their knowledge in their specified domain by working on the assigned projects under the mentorship of a renowned Salzburg expert. Positions

  1. Program Internship: Assist in administration and program implementation
  2. Communications Internship: Share about the program’s impact across various platforms
  3. Library Internship: Assist the library team
  4. Development Internship: Conduct research, draft proposals, and assist in fundraising activities

Eligibility Criteria

Individuals meeting the following criteria are invited to submit applications for the Salzburg Global Seminar Internship:

  • The internship is accepting applications from all nationalities
  • Applicants currently in the final year of the undergraduate degree program or who have recently graduated with an interest in one of the program areas are invited to apply
  • Applicants must have excellent English communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, & PowerPoint)
  • Applicants’ age must be between 18 and 29 years at the time of application
  • Demonstrate interest in the organization’s mission
  • A multitasker able to complete tasks on time
  • Willing to work in a diverse multicultural work environment
  • Have excellent academic achievements
  • No IELTS requirement
