This fully funded scholarship program enables talented university faculty members from developing countries to pursue a full-time PhD at Asia’s leading higher education institute. The scholarship is offered across a wide range of academic disciplines, providing an excellent opportunity for students from diverse academic backgrounds to apply. The SNU President Fellowship offers generous support, and selected fellows will receive a monthly stipend, coverage of tuition and airfare, health insurance, and other benefits, allowing recipients to focus fully on their studies rather than worrying about financial constraints. About SNU President Fellowship 2027
It’s a fully funded fellowship program in South Korea designed for talented university faculty members from developing countries to pursue a PhD at Seoul National University. The objective of the scholarship program is to support outstanding faculty members from developing countries in pursuing a full-time PhD and to strengthen academic cooperation and knowledge exchange between South Korea and participating developing countries.

Fellowship Coverage
Fellowship recipients will receive the following support:
- Full tuition fee waiver.
- A monthly stipend of KRW 1,500,000–2,000,000.

Who can Apply?
You must meet the following criteria to be eligible for the fellowship:
- Open to citizens of developing countries.
- Call for applications from talented university faculty members.
- Have completed a Master’s degree from recognized institutes.
- Applicants already holding a PhD degree are not eligible to apply.
- Admitted as a new PhD student at SNU for the spring 2027 semester.
- Proof of employment at the institute as research or teaching staff is required.
- Eligible positions include: lecturer, teaching assistant, assistant professor, professor, associate professor, instructor, research assistant, or teaching assistant.

How to Apply for Presidential Fellowship?
Applicants interested in the fellowship must apply concurrently for both PhD admission and the SNU predent fellowship. All applicants are required to select the “Application for Scholarship” checkbox when submitting the admission application.
