Suminto Electronic Industries Ltd, one of the renowned Japanese Multinational manufacturing companies, has finally announced the application window for its flagship “ Sumitomo Electric Global Internship 2026″. A full-time 12-week in-person internship for international students in Japan, hosted by Sumitomo Electric, offers an exceptional opportunity to outstanding students from around the world to gain practical work experience at the company’s R&D labs and corporate headquarters.

The internships are offered in various areas, including engineering, Human Resources, and Data Analytics. Students from diverse academic backgrounds are invited to submit their applications. The internship provides students with an opportunity to gain hands-on experience by working on a company’s real-world project alongside its renowned experts. This is your chance to experience Japanese work culture and gain valuable skills, knowledge, and networks in your desired fields.

The host company offers generous support to the selected participants. The coverage includes: Air travel support, Accommodation, Local transportation costs, and meals. Eligiblity Criteria

Suminto Electronic is inviting applications from applicants fulfilling the following criteria:

• The Global internship is open to all nationals
• Japanese nationals are not eligible to apply
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree
• Undergraduate students must have completed 2 years of their degree
• Applicants must be pursuing their degree programs in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Industrial), Material Science, Physics, Optical Fiber, Optics, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Human Resources, or other related fields.
• Internship is competetive, you must hold an excellent academic record
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
• Willing to attend the entire program during the program dates

Internship Coverage

All the interns will recieve comprehensive support, the coverage includes:

• Economy Class round-trip air travel coverage to/from Japan
• Shared Accommodation & Meals for the duration of the program
