The internship programme was initially launched in 2012. Since then, it has trained 100 students from across the world.  The duration of the SUMITO Electric internship is 10-12 weeks, commencing from May 11 to July 31, 2026, in Osaka & Itami, Japan

The internship is intended for highly motivated students currently pursuing undergraduate or master’s degree programs in recognized institutes. The objective of the Global internship is to provide students with a practical work experience at Sumitomo Electric’s state-of-the-art R&D labs and headquarters in Japan. The interns will receive comprehensive support, including airfare, accommodation, meals, a stipend, and additional benefits. No application fee is required to apply for the program. Eligibility Criteria

• No country restrictions, the internship is open to all nationals
• Students currently pursuing undergraduate and masters programme
• Enrolled in a full-time degree program at an accredited institute
• Demonstrate exceptional academic records
• Pursuing their degree program in related fields
• Willing to attend the entire program during the program dates
