You heard it right applications are invited by the National Tapei University of Technology for the New Southbound Policy Mandarin and Semi Conductor short-term study program that will be held in Taiwan from September 2024 to January 2025.
The short-term study program in Taiwan is offered to the brilliant students of Indo-Pacific to experience the culture of Taiwan and explore the institute. The program is fully funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Students belonging to eligible countries fulfilling all the criteria are highly encouraged to apply.
During the program, participants will take part in AI & semiconductor-related courses along with the Chinese course offered at the institute’s Chinese Language Training Center. Program Dates & Duration
- The duration of the short-term study program is 5 months which will commence from September 2024 – January 2025 at National Tapei University of Technology, Taiwan.
Who can Apply?
- Students belonging from the eligible countries can participate
- Students enrolled in the universities
- Applicants with Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau passports can not apply
- Students who have not received any financial aid from the government or institutes in Taiwan.
Eligible Countries
Citizens of the following countries can participate in this short-term study program in Taiwan:
- Pakistan, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Nepal, Laos, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Australia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, New Zealand & Vietnam.
Coverage
The program is fully funded by MOFA and provides the following coverage to the selected participants:
- Air travel ticket: NTD 15000
- Stipend to cover living expenses: NTD 10,000/month
- Accommodation/Housing Allowance (5 Months): NTD 3,300
- Insurance of: NTD 3,300
- Full coverage of trips, visits, costs, and courses

The application process for the Taipei Tech Short Term program is online, you need to submit an online application form and submit the required documents to the cltc@ntut.edu.tw.

- An updated CV

Application Deadline: The last date for the submission of an application for the 2024 Taipei Tech New Southbound Scholarship Program is July 10th, 2024.
