Want to gain hands-on research experience this summer at one of the leading research institutes of China, as an intern with all your finances covered? Applications are open for the Tsinghua University Amgen Scholars Program 2026. A fully funded internship program for international students by the Amgen Foundation is scheduled to take place from June 7 to August 4, 2026, at Tsinghua University in China. It’s an immersive 8-week residential summer research program that provides undergraduate students from across Asia with the opportunity to experience real-world research while contributing to projects under the mentorship of renowned scientists.
The selected interns will join a faculty laboratory where they will conduct one or more research projects under the supervision of an institute faculty member. In addition to full-time research, participants will also engage in transformative academic activities, including lab meetings, group discussions, presentations, and more. This is your chance to experience cutting-edge research, gain professional skills, and broaden your networks while immersing yourselves in the rich culture of China. Eligiblity Criteria
- Individuals meeting the following criteria are invitied to apply:
- Students enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Asia
- Completed one year of their undergraduate degree
- Demonstrate excellent academic achievements
- Committed to pursuing their careers in the sciences
- No Language profiency test requirement for those whose medium of instruction at the host institution is English
- Must commit to full-time participation for the entire duration
