University of Oxford Optiver Foundation Scholarships 2025

A scholarship in the United Kingdom you should not miss out on! Application call for the University of Oxford Optiver Foundation Scholarships 2025. Optiver Foundation, in collaboration with the University of Oxford, offers 30 taught Master’s scholarships over the duration of 5 years. Applications are open for the third cohort of the academic session 2025–2026 at the University of Oxford. The scholarship program aims to increase the number of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) postgraduate studies from low- and middle-income countries. Girls will receive full financial support to cover their course fees and a grant for living costs, providing them with tailored induction activities, mentoring, and on-campus support.

The Optiver Foundation scholarship program specifically identifies eligible offer holders who are in need of financial assistance, taking into account their family income, level of education or occupation, and academic potential, including their GPA, experience, and skills. If they belong to a minority or are first-generation university students, and if they have encountered personal challenges or financial hardships. Selected applicants will commence their studies in October 2025, joining the Departments of Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering Science, or Mathematical Institute.

Financial barriers, particularly for talented female students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds, are known to hinder their educational pursuits, resulting in a lower participation rate of women in postgraduate courses, particularly in STEM fields, both internationally and at Oxford. By targeting support for women from low to middle-income countries, the Optiver Foundation Scholarship Programme will play an important role in increasing postgraduate diversity in STEM subjects at Oxford, as well as contributing to a more diverse workforce in the longer term.
