United Nations Volunteer (UNV), through its official portal, has announced a call for applications for the UNV Communication Associate position for the World Food Programme (WFP) office in Bangkok, Thailand. UNV invites applications from motivated and talented individuals aged 18-80 from around the world. For those unfamiliar with UNV, it’s a global initiative of the United Nations managed by UNDP, offering students and graduates the chance to work with United Nations organizations and promote peace and sustainability through volunteering.
This is a full-time, contractual position lasting 6 months, starting from July 1st, 2026. The communications associate will report to the Regional Head of Communication & Media and will assist with developing, maintaining, and improving communication via digital platforms. The position is open to all nationals except those of the country of assignment. Male and female applicants interested in communication, international development, and emergency response are encouraged to apply. Individuals meeting the following criteria are invitied to apply:

- Minimum one month of experience is required in the relevant area
- Fluency in the English Language is required

Associate Role
The associates will be assisting with the following tasks:
- Support the social media reporting and monitoring
- Analyze the current events, press coverage, etc., related to the WFP’s mandate
- Design and post the content on social media platforms
- Design and develop the campaigns for social platforms
- Support video production
