HEC, under its project “US-Pakistan Knowledge Corridor”, offers an incredible opportunity to high-achieving students from Pakistan to pursue a PhD degree program at the top 300 QS World-Ranked US Universities. The scholarship is inviting applications from outstanding and highly talented students, both Male/Female, from all across Pakistan to apply. The scholarships are offered in subject areas aligned with Pakistan’s national economic goals and faculty needs, such as Natural Sciences, Engineering & technology, Social sciences and management, Arts & Humanities, etc. The objective of the scholarship program is to foster academic research between Pakistani and renowned institutions in the United States and to enhance the research capabilities of Higher education institutions of Pakistan. Scholarship Coverage
The scholarship offers two scholarship categories under this project that are:
1. Category 1 (Top 50 QS world-ranked US Universities)
The Category 1 scholarships are offered to students who secure admission in the Top 50 QS world-ranked institutes in the United States. The coverage includes:
- Full tuition Fees Coverage
- Competitive stipend and health insurance
To be considered for this category, you must:
- Secure an admission in a top 50 QS world-ranked US institute
- Minimum GRE score of 300
- Or an HEC/HAT score of at least 60 percent
2. Category 2 (51-300 QS world-ranked US institutes)
The category 2 scholarships are granted to the students who secure admission in the top 51-300 QS-ranked US institutions. The coverage includes:
- A tuition fee coverage of up to USD 12,000/ per annum
- Stipend to cover living expenses
- Health insurance
To be considered for the Category 2 scholarships, you must:
- Secure admission in the top 51-300 QS world-ranked US institutes
- Specific subject ranking up to 100
- Minimum GRE score of 300 or HAT score of 60%
Specific Eligiblity Criteria
Applicants meeting the following Criteria are invited to submit their applications for the HEC US Knowledge Corridor scholarship:
- Accepting applications from Pakistani/AJK Nationals
- Applicants holding a minimum of 4 years of a Bachelor’s degree (BS/BSc/BE)
- Must not have secured 2nd or 3rd division in the entire academic career
- Age requirement:
- Max 40 years of age for regular government employees/faculty members of Government colleges/public universities/researchers of R&D organizations
- Max 35 years in all other cases
- Applicants must not have secured any other scholarship
- Students who have already completed a PhD degree are not eligible to apply
