This year (e.g. 2025) the scholarship grants have been increased to 367 of which 87 scholarships are through the Embassy track and 280 scholarships are through University track. Who can Apply for the GKS Scholarship?
- Applications are open for all nationals
- Candidates who have already secured undergraduate degrees cannot apply
- Candidates with an associate degree can apply for the undergraduate program
- To be considered for the scholarship your score percentile must be at least 80 or above
- Applicants must not have any criminal record
- Physical or mental fit to attend the program
- Max age requirement is 25 years
- In order to sustain the scholarship applicants need to maintain their GPA

Korean Government invites 280 international students through the University Track.

Scholarship Coverage
The GKS Undergraduate scholarship in South Korea is fully funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Korea, the scholarship provides the following coverage to the selected scholars:
- Return economy class airfare ticket to attend the program
- Full tuition fees, Settlement allowance, and a monthly stipend
- Free 1 year Korean language classes
- Stationary and thesis allowance

Application Process for Korean Government GKS Scholarship?
Interested applicants have two options to avail of this scholarship either you can apply through a University track or an Embassy track.
