The Higher Education Commission Pakistan recently announced the scholarship through its official portal. The scholarship is inviting applications from the nationals of Pakistan who are interested in pursuing Bachelor’s, One-tier master’s, master’s & PhD degree programs in Hungary. The Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship is offered by the government of Hungary and managed by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. The scholarship supports  Tuition fees, health funding, accommodation, and living expenses. Stipendum Hungaricum Scholarship Overview

The Hungary government scholarship also known as Stipendium Hungaricum scholarships is offered to outstanding students wishing to pursue their higher education in Hungary. The scholarships are offered in a wide range of degree programs including non-degree programs, one-tier degrees, Master’s, bachelor’s, and PhD covering almost all fields and majors. A total number of 31 Hungarian institutes are participating in this program.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the scholarship you must meet the following requirements

  • Applicant must be a national of Pakistan
  • Students in their last year of the degree programs or results awaiting students can apply.
  • For Undergraduate and one-tier masters program candidates must have completed their Intermediate or equivalent degree before August 1, 2025
  • For Masters degree, you must have completed your Undergraduate degree before August 1st, 2025
  • For PhD program, you must have completed your master’s/MS/MPhil degree before August 1st, 2025
  • Must complete both the HEC Application form and the Hungary application form
  • Attestation of the documents is not required in the initial stage once you are nominated you will have to attest the documents from the attesting authorities such as IBCC and HEC
  • Applicants need to provide a HAT or USAT test score with a maximum of 50% marks.

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship program offers full tuition fee coverage, accommodation, and health funding, the scholarship is partially funded and the applicants need to add their finances to cover other living expenses in Hungary.
