ISDP Internship Program 2025 in Stockholm, Sweden

Are you an aspiring student and seeking internships in the areas of international security and development? Well, Applications are open to apply for the ISDP Internship Program 2025. ISDP, also known as the Institute for Security and Development, offers internships to students pursuing their undergraduate degree programs or fresh graduates in the fields related to International Relations, Social Science, Asian Studies, Language Studies, or related fields. The institute offers an internship twice a year for the fall/spring semester. The duration of the internship is usually 4-6 months, which takes place in the Institute’s main office in Stockholm, Sweden. 

Currently, ISDB is inviting applications for the fall semester 2025, to all students and fresh graduates who want to gain hands-on experience in international security and development, are invited to submit their applications. The institute is seeking interns for their Korea Center, South Asian and Indo-Pacific Affairs, Taiwan Center, and Asia program. Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Institute for Security and Development internship program, you must fulfill the following requirements:

• Fluent in both Spoken and written English
• Applicants with strong research and drafting skills
• Have excellent communication skills
• Able to work independently as well as in a team
• Passionate about political or cultural research related to Asia
• Applicants with knowledge of one or more Asian languages would be preferred
• Students pursuing a bachelor’s degree or a recent graduate in the fields of International Affairs, Culture, Asian politics, language studies, or related fields are invited to apply.

Intern Responsibilities

• Interns will be organizing events and managing projects
• Gathers information on political, cultural, and economic development
• Manage social media and newsletters
• Assist in the day tasks of the organization

Step 1:

You need to submit the following required documents:

• An updated CV/Resume
• Cover Letter (Explain your interest in internship, and how you are fit for the role)
• Provide a writing sample in English, it could be an essay, a research paper, or an article

Step 2
