UNITAR Traineeship 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland (900 CHF/Month)

After receiving an overwhelming response today, we are here with another exciting international traineeship program also being offered in Geneva, Switzerland, that one should not miss out on. You heard it right! Applications are open for the UNITAR Traineeship Program 2025. The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) has made the traineeship announcement in its Multilateral Diplomacy Programme Unit (Communication) through its official portal and inviting applications from highly motivated and talented applicants from all around the world to apply.

The traineeship is exclusively designed for students currently enrolled in the undergraduate/graduate/postgraduate program, or who have recently graduated in the fields of communication, graphic design, video production, marketing, public relations, international relations, or related fields.  The objective of the traineeship is to cultivate young intellectuals and provide them with professional experience in a multicultural environment, and enhance their knowledge about the United Nations System. The duration of the traineeship is 4-6 months, which will take place in the UNITAR HQ, Geneva. An exciting opportunity for students and recent graduates to gain hands-on experience while working alongside the UNITAR professionals on high-impact, real-time projects.

The traineeship offers a monthly stipend of 900 CHF to cover the transportation and miscellaneous costs. Trainee Roles

Under the supervision of the UNITAR programme officer trainee will assist in the following tasks:

  • Create content for social media posts, web pages, and flyers
  • Design the marketing materials that include testimonials, emails, or short videos
  • Assist the communication team with their promotion strategy
  • Identify new opportunities to promote UNITAR programs.
  • Follow the UNITAR branding rules while designing marketing materials

Tasks Assigned to Trainees:

  • Creation of Ads, Email campaigns, brochures, and videos
  • Assist in improving the communication strategy
  • Update the landing pages on the website with up-to-date information
  • Share new ideas to promote UNITAR’s work
  • Manage email using Mailjet
  • Editing of videos with tools like Canva or Adobe Premiere
  • Assist in writing news articles

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants fulfilling the following criteria are eligible for the UNITAR Traineeship:

  • Students enrolled in full-time Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree programs in the fields related to communications, public relations, graphic design, video production/editing, marketing, or international relations.
  • Fresh graduates are also invited to submit their applications
  • Demonstrate interest in working with the UNITAR
  • Have an interest in outreach activities
  • Have excellent analytical and research skills
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
