Students in administrative fields, do you want to gain real-time work experience in one of the largest scientific research centers, with all your finances covered? Well then, CERN has something to offer. The European Organization for Nuclear Research has finally announced the application call for its flagship “CERN Administrative Students Program” for the session 2027. A 2-12 months intensive program hosted by CERN offered to students in administrative fields such as communication, finance, human resources, law, logistics, and related fields to gain hands-on experience while working on the CERN real-time project alongside renowned scientists in a multi-cultural work environment.
Throughout the year, CERN offers various opportunities for students from diverse academic backgrounds to enhance their skills, deepen their knowledge, and expand their networks in their desired fields. The administrative programme is specifically designed for students in administrative fields. If you have an engineering or STEM background, you can apply for the CERN technical student program.
Students currently pursuing a university degree in administrative fields with a passion for developing new skills are encouraged to apply. Eligiblity Criteria
To be eligible for the Administrative student program, you must meet the following criteria:
- Accepting applications from nationals of CERN Member or Associate Member states
- Students currently enrolled in a university degree in the areas of communication, finance, law, logistics, human resources, procurement, or related areas
- PhD students are not eligible to apply
- Students must have completed three semesters of their degree
- Students must remain enrolled in their respective degree programs during the program
- Enrolled in a recognized institute
- Demonstrate excellent academic achievements
- Demonstrate interest in developing new skills
- Able to work in a multicultural work environment
Required skills:
- Profiency in digital tools relevant to your fields
- Excellent communication skills
- A team player who can work with others
Coverage
CERN offers the following support to students under this programme:
- A monthly stipend of 3486 Swiss Francs
- 30 days paid leave/year
- Health Insurance
- Family support
- Travel support to Geneva to attend the program
