With 100+ faculty-led research projects spanning STEM disciplines, you can choose a project that aligns with your research interests. The minimum duration of the research internship is 2 months, and the maximum is 6 months, during which selected interns will gain hands-on research exposure in state-of-the-art facilities. Beyond research, interns will also have the opportunity to explore the institute’s graduate studies. It’s a full-time, paid internship program. All interns will receive a competitive stipend, along with other perks and benefits such as return air travel coverage, housing, and tuition fees. No application fee is required. Internship Duration:
The internship lasts 2-6 months and offers flexible arrangements; you can choose your start and end dates at any time of the year. You are not bound to attend the internship in the same period.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the KAUST VSRP internship, you must meet the following criteria:
- KAUST welcomes applications from all nationalities
- Academic status: Enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s degree programme
- Undergraduate students must be in the 3rd year or above
- Demonstrate excellent academic achievements
- Academic fields: Pursuing their degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics
- English Language Proficiency
- PhD students, KAUST students, and institute Alumni are not eligible to apply
- Demonstrate a strong interest in carrying out research in KAUST
