About FAO Internship Programme
FAO internships are designed to attract talented women and men who are strongly motivated to contribute their perspectives, ideas, and research experience to FAO’s work. The program offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to apply their academic knowledge through practical work experience in fields related to the FAO mandate.
Who can Apply?
The general requirements for the FAO internships are:
- Be a national of an FAO member country
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program
- Recent graduates can also apply
- Academic background must be relevant to FAO’s work
- Be 21-30 years of age when the internship starts
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of any other FAO official language is an asset
- Able to work in an international work environment
- Applicants must have appropriate residence in the country of assignment
- Excellent communication skills
