Are you an international student enrolled in an undergraduate or master’s program? Do you want to take some time off and have an immersive experience in China this winter? The University of Science & Technology of China (USTC) is pleased to announce a call for applications for its flagship “USTC International Winter Camp 2027.” This fully funded, short-term international camp brings together talented undergraduate and master’s students, as well as recent graduates, for 2 weeks of immersive learning and cultural experiences in Hefei, China, from December 19 to January 1, 2027. Participants will attend academic lectures, visit national laboratories, learn basic Chinese, and explore Chinese culture while immersing themselves in an excellent learning environment at one of China’s leading universities. About USTC Winter Camp
It’s a 2-week short international program hosted by the University of Science and Technology of China. The camp offers international students and graduates an opportunity to experience university life and academic activities at one of China’s prestigious institutes.
During the program, participants will attend expert lectures, national lab tours, Chinese language classes, and cultural site visits. The camp also offers students the opportunity to experience local life in Hefei, China, while immersing themselves in China’s rich culture.
Who can Apply?
USTC is calling for applications from applicants meeting the following criteria:
- Be a non-Chinese national with a valid foreign passport
- Have a good command of spoken and written English
- Must be in good physical and mental health
- Currently registered as a full-time undergraduate or master’s student
- Applicants who have completed their degree and want to continue learning at USTC can apply
- Students from any academic disciplines can apply
- Applicants who previously participated in the USTC camp are not eligible
Program Fees
The full programme fee for the camp is 3,000 CNY, which includes

- The fee does not cover travel and insurance costs

The institute offers scholarships through the USTC fellowship, which cover:

*The fellowship support can be fully or partially funded

How to Apply for USTC Winter Camp 2027?
Applicants interested in the Winter Camp must submit their applications through the USTC application system.
Open the application system, register an account, start the application, select the non-degree program application, select the Winter Camp, complete your application, upload the required documents, and submit.
