The Apple Hardware PhD Internship is designed for talented doctoral students in computer and electrical engineering or related fields. Who can Apply?
Candidates fulfilling the following criteria are invited to submit applications
- Be enrolled in a PhD degree program
- Academic background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and related fields.
- After completing the internship, you must return to the degree program, or the internship must be completed before you graduate.
Preferred Skills
Applicants with skill sets and experience in the following areas would be preferred
- Computer system architecture
- Digital logic design and verification
- Digital and analog circuit analysis
- Analog IC
- CPU and GPU architecture
- Antenna and RF engineering
- Wireless communication
- Proficiency in one of the programming languages: C, C++, Python, Perl, SQL, Assembly, VHDL, and Verilog RTL
Intern Responsibilities
- Camera, Touch & Display: Work on displays, touch systems, and mechanical design
- Wire Technology: Work on antenna design, RF systems, and software tools
- ASIC & VLSI: Work on chip design, verification, testing systems, and test hardware
- System Development: Test hardware and resolve technical issues
- Audio & Optics: Work on microphones, speakers, and audio features
- Embedded Systems: Develop microcontroller code and test FPGA designs
