Students, what could be better than gaining early career work experience before graduation at a major international development organization as an intern? Well, here is exciting news: the Asian Development Bank has announced the call for applications for its flagship “Asian Development Bank 2026 Internship Program” and invites applications from talented and outstanding students from ADB member countries to apply and have an opportunity to gain hands-on work experience while working on real-time ADB projects in a multicultural work environment. It’s a paid internship program, all the interns will recieve competitive stipend for the program duration.

Multiple internship positions are announced in various ADB departments. Students from diverse academic backgrounds are invitied to submit the applications. The minimum duration of the internship is 8 weeks, to a maximum of 12 weeks. Students currently enrolled in master’s or Ph.d degree programs in academic fields related to ADB’s work, such as finance, engineering, public policy, and economics, at recognized institutes in ADB member countries. This is not just an ordinary internship; the program is built on research assignments that offer students a hands-on learning experience. Eligibility Criteria

Applicants fulfilling the following criteria are invited to submit their applications:

Calling applications from the nationals of ADB member countries
An internship is intended for graduate students, candidates enrolled in Master’s and PhD degree programs in recognized ADB member institutions, who are invited to apply
Academic background must be in a field related to ADB’s work (such as finance, engineering, public policy, and economics)
Applicants must have at least 2-3 years of relevant professional work experience
Excellent command of English
Applicants from a diverse range of academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply
Undergraduate students and students who have previously participated in the internship are not eligible to apply

Internship Coverage

The ADB offers the following financial support to its interns:

Interns will recieve a stipend of $70 USD per day to cover living expenses
A limited round-trip airfare support
Visa assistance/support
