• Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) for each course. It is pertinent to mention here that the last course a candidate had taken as part of the course package is considered the main course of study for that candidate.
• In case of two courses the gap between termination of one course and start of the other course should be less than 2 months. However, 3 -4 months is an acceptable gap between hat courses.

• You should be enrolled in a course of study in Australia
• Candidate must have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC), or fall into one of the exemption categories
• Minimum age is 6 years
• Proof of welfare arrangement (under 18)

Australia (Subclass 500) Student visa is temporary to study for up to 5 years. Therefore, the tye of your degree will decide your duration of stay.

Extended Duration of Stay

• After the expiry of the Australia Student Visa (Subclass 500), you’ll have to apply for a new student visa.
• In case your visa is expiring before your graduation you’re eligible to apply for Visitor visa (subclass 600), which will however require a letter from your university or institute mentioning your date of graduation aswell.
• If you possess a student visa and have completed your graduation 6 months before the expiry of the visa, you’ll be considered eligible for a Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485).
• Those candidates who are fresh engineering graduates of a renowned university are considered eligible for Skilled Recognition Graduate visa (subclass 476).
• For any other condition other than those mentioned above you’ll have to any other visa which covers your stay purpose.

Application Fee Waiver

Students who have faced the following will have visa application fee waived: –

• Those who have deferred their study as they were unable to enter Australia due to travel restrictions during COVID
• Had to take a reduced part-time study load
• were unable to complete their work-based training

The above-mentioned conditions however don’t include the following: –

• Those who have failed a course
• Were deferred due to personal reasons
• Who voluntarily reduced their study load.

The visa will be digitally linked with the passport and there will be no label on the passport.

Step 1 – Before Applying

If you’re outside Australia, you’ve to apply at least 8 weeks before the commencement of your course.

On the other hand if you’re inside Australia, apply for next visa well in time before expiry of current visa.
